Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This policy covers the My Worth website (www.my-worth.net) and the My Worth app (app.my-worth.net and, later, the phone apps).
What we keep
Your account: your email address, your name if you give one, your base currency and your language.
What you enter: assets and debts and their values over time, expenses and income, categories, recurring payments, groups and goals. When you import a spreadsheet, the file is read to show you a preview; only the rows you confirm are saved.
Sign-in: one-time codes and session tokens, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, and the name of each device you are signed in on. If you sign in with Google, we keep your Google account id and email address.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or share your data. We do not show ads. Neither the website nor the app uses analytics or tracking tools.
We never ask for bank logins, card numbers or access to your bank. Everything in My Worth is what you put there.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in a database on Microsoft Azure in the European Union, in the North Europe region (Ireland). The app’s server runs in the same region. The website and the app’s files are served from Azure in Western Europe.
Who else is involved
Microsoft Azure hosts the app, its server and its database.
Resend delivers the sign-in code emails. It receives your email address and the code, nothing else.
Google, only if you choose “Continue with Google”: Google confirms who you are and the sign-in page loads Google’s sign-in button.
Each of them only processes data to provide that service to us.
Cookies and storage on your device
This website sets no cookies. In the web app, one essential cookie keeps you signed in; it cannot be read by scripts on the page. Your appearance setting and similar preferences are saved in your browser. Financial data is not stored in the browser.
The phone apps keep a copy of your data on the device so they open and let you add expenses offline. Signing out clears it.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored hashed, so a copy of the database would not let anyone sign in. The database only accepts the app’s own server.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you use My Worth.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it and object to how it is used. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Important changes are also shown in the app.
